It’s a known problem in all fields of geekery; you get in to something, you get a device here, a tool there, and all of a sudden, you have a completely insane set of stuff doing all manner of weirdness.

I saw something on the Internet this evening that made me angry. (Wait, something wrong on the Internet? Film at 11. But bear with me.)

BSides Las Vegas was kind enough to invite me to speak on Reticle, the DARPA Cyber Fast Track project that consumed my spring. The code will be uploaded soon for all of Reticle– I will write a longer blog post soon describing the project, its current plans, and what happens next– but I wanted to post slides and video now. I greatly enjoyed being able to speak at HOPE Number 9 on the topic of why more hackers need to go to law school– a presentation entitled “Hack the Law.” HOPE in general was a wonderful conference– while I’ve been to the Vegas cons before (and will attend again this year), HOPE has an entirely different feel, which I very much enjoyed.
